ECIS Accreditation Process at Eyüboğlu
Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions, initiated the accreditation process for Eyüboğlu High School in line with its vision of "becoming an institution that can serve as an educational role model in the world"; and are carrying on their work in this vein with the involvement of Çamlıca Primary School in the process. In their own categories, both of the schools were the first ones in Turkey to be accredited by ECIS.
Accreditation... Why?
The reasons for Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions' initiating the accreditation process are threefold:

To ensure that the school adopts the principle of "continuous development";

Enabling all the members of the school community (administrators, teachers, support staff, students, parents) to question the activities of the school; and
-
Objective verification of quality by a globally recognized authority regarding the education that the school offers.
Eyüboğlu High School - The first school in Turkey that was accredited by ECIS
Eyüboğlu High School , which has been an active member of ECIS since 1993, initiated the accreditation process in 1996 for the above-stated reasons. Following a positive Preliminary Visit Report, the school went into a rigorous self-study in which all the members of the school community participated. After four years of diligent efforts and hard work, the self-study report was completed and submitted to the ECIS. Subsequently, a team of 15 experienced educators from all over the world made a visit to the school. The visiting team, working 16 hours per day for 7 days, talked with members of the school community, did observations in and outside the classrooms, and scrutinized the records that were referred to in the self-study report. Following this meticulous "inspection", in line with the visiting team's report, in year 2000 the ECIS granted accreditation to Eyüboğlu High School unconditionally. Thus, Eyüboğlu High School became the first school in Turkey to be accredited by the ECIS.
Again a "first" - Accreditation process at Çamlıca Primary School
Eyüboğlu Çamlıca Primary School , which started admitting students in 1998 for the first time, started to work for accreditation in 2000. Going through the rigorous process that Eyüboğlu High School and all the schools aiming for accreditation have to go through, Çamlıca Primary School submitted its self-study report to the ECIS in April 2003 and was granted accreditation in July 2003, following a team visit made in May 2003. With this success, Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions' characteristic of being a pioneer in its field was confirmed once again and Çamlıca Primary School became the first primary school in Turkey to that was granted ECIS accreditation.
As the process continues.
Since accreditation is a continuous process, Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions has been and will be carrying on its search for excellence in line with the stages that are stipulated by the process. In 2005, Eyüboğlu High School will present its five-year report and Çamlıca Primary School will present its one-year report to the ECIS. After ten years, the process will have to be repeated from the beginning.
