Catering

At Eyüboğlu schools, it is compulsory for reception class and 1 st-5 th grade students to eat lunch at the school cafeteria. There are two cafeterias – one with 600 people capacity and the other one with 250 people capacity. Students from other grade levels can also choose to eat at these cafeterias. For the rest of the students, there are canteens, which serve fast food.

The meals and the other types of food that are served at school cafeterias and canteens are prepared by the subcontracted catering company, under the supervision of the school.

In addition to the student cafeterias, there are two other cafeterias which serve food to the staff members.

School Clothes Shop

All school clothes including school uniforms and sweat suits, etc. are available for purchase at the school clothes shop. The shop saves parents time by giving them the opportunity to provide all of their child’s school clothing right within the campus.

During the semester break, the school clothes shop is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Bookstore

At the beginning of each academic year, the students can purchase books, school uniforms and sports equipment from the bookstore. The bookstore is open throughout the school year to meet students’ needs for stationery items and books.

Transport Services

Our students are transported to and from school by means of a school service bus organization which is provided by Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions. The fleet consists of a total of 126 vehicles.

A bus attendant is appointed to each bus in order to ensure safety of Kindergarten and Primary School students on the service vehicles. The number of students on each bus is not allowed to exceed the number of seats on the vehicle which is equipped with seatbelts. The students are required to fasten their seatbelts and remain seated at all times. The drivers are well-informed about and pay attention to speed limits, traffic lights and traffic signs. We make sure that no vehicles in the fleet are older than three years old.

Health

Being healthy is a prerequisite for student success. At Eyüboğlu, health services are provided in keeping with this understanding.

School years constitute a special period during which significant changes occur in a person’s life because school children grow up and develop. Health problems experienced during this period may affect an individual throughout his/her life and it is easier to prevent or stop growth and development problems if they are discovered at this early stage.

All sorts of information on students’ physical development and health are monitored and recorded by the school. The medical staff includes a pediatrician and the school nurses. All Eyüboğlu schools house fully equipped infirmaries with adequate facilities to make the first intervention in cases of emergency.

When a student goes to an infirmary, the necessary measures are taken according to his/her complaints and the student’s parents are called in to take the student home. In urgent cases where the student needs prompt medical care at a hospital, the student is taken to the closest hospital under the supervision of a nurse and the student’s parents are contacted.

Students with chronic illnesses such as diabetes are monitored by the infirmaries. The infirmaries also keep track of the times at which students who are constantly on medication for such illnesses need to take their medicines.

Eyüboğlu students are under the coverage of accident and emergency insurance against any mishaps that could happen any time anywhere while they pursue their school activities.

Another aspect of health services at school includes ensuring hygiene on the campus. At our schools, samples are regularly taken from drinking water, tap water and swimming pool for chemical analysis. The catering services which are provided by Eurest are meticulously supervised and the nutritional and caloric values of the food served are monitored by dieticians.

Security

Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions are located on a 34,000 square meter campus. A “Private Security Department” has been established pursuant to the relevant permission of Istanbul Province Police Department and in accordance with Law nr 5188. In keeping with the Law, the employees in this department have been authorized to become “Private Security Guards” consequent to the training that they have received. Throughout the year, the department staff works with a security consultant for training and coordination.

In order to ensure security, the campus is equipped with:

• Electronic ID cards borne by all Eyüboğlu employees,
• Security center at Gate B which is equipped with 53 internal and 10 external cameras for surveillance and recording,
• Automatically-locked/opened building gates,
• Electronic night guard watches,
• Electronic records kept at entry-exit gates,
• Hand detectors.

The employees are required to enter/exit the campus through one of the five gates by using their electronic ID cards. These cards are also required for lifting entry-exit barriers and for using the elevators on the campus. The cards contain information regarding the allowed entry/exit times of their bearers. Each employee’s allowed entry/exit times have been determined according to their working hours at Eyüboğlu.

All the teachers and other employees are allowed to enter/exit the campus between 07:30 – 20:00 hours ever day except Sundays.

The security system will signal the security guard upon any employee’s trying to enter the campus outside the above-stated hours and the employee will then be expected to give an explanation of their reason for entering.
