"Welcome to Eyüboğlu High School ’s Web page.

This website aims to provide you with snapshots of school life at Eyüboğlu, and of the rich opportunities that we offer to our students in terms of academic endeavors, sports and arts.

As you roam around our website, you will notice that as an institution, our mission is to raise multilingual, innovative and life-long learning citizens with high ethical and academic standards, who are equipped with social, international and multicultural awareness and that in this respect, we never compromise on Atatürk’s principles and revolutions. In order to attain these targets, Eyüboğlu High School successfully integrates the national curriculum and the international programs to prepare its students for the requirements of a higher education in Turkey as well as abroad. Year after year, we take great pride in witnessing our graduates’ growing up to become efficient communicators and self-confident, well-socialized individuals who are adequately prepared for life and are equipped with the qualities of leadership and skills for solving problems by approaching them from a variety of perspectives.

The graduates of Eyüboğlu Çamlıca Primary School are admitted to Eyüboğlu High School without having to take any exams. The students from other primary schools who wish to attend Eyüboğlu High School are required to pass the nationally organized standard Private High Schools entrance exam. Subsequent to an English language proficiency test, the students whose level of proficiency in the English language is found adequate are admitted to the High School. Others are required to attend the High School Preparatory Classes.

The two IB programs that have been successfully integrated into the national curriculum by Eyüboğlu High School are the MYP (IB Middle Years Program) implemented in Grades 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and the DP (IB Diploma Program) implemented in the final two years of High School. In order for the students to be allowed to take the Diploma Program, they have to meet certain achievement criteria, stipulated by the school. In academic year 2003-2004 our DP graduates’ diploma grade averages were higher than the world averages; and this opened for them the doors of the most renowned universities in the world and with good scholarship opportunities.

The graduates of Eyüboğlu High School have the possibility of continuing their education at universities abroad as well as in Turkey . At every level of High School, students are given intense training targeted specifically to the University Entrance Exam. Our specialized guidance staff provides the parents and the students with support in the whole process leading to the university entrance exam and at the stage of choosing their areas of study. Our college counselor provides support and guidance to our students who would like to carry on with their education abroad.

Eyüboğlu High School

Opened in 1985 with 10 prep classes at İhsan Doğramacı Foundation’s building in Kadıköy, Eyüboğlu High School soon attained its pioneering position within the education system in Turkey . Eyüboğlu High School moved to its current campus in Çamlıca in 1988 and has graduated 1564 students since its founding.

As from academic year 2001-2002, the 4-year Lycee program has started being implemented with a special permission granted by the Ministry of Education. Starting from academic year 2005-2006, Eyüboğlu High School will abolish the 3-year Lycee to offer only a 4-year program. Our students, who become highly proficient in at least one foreign language as stipulated by our mission statement, also learn German, French, Italian and Spanish as second and third foreign languages offered within the scope of the 4-year Lycee program. At the end of 10 th Grade, the students qualify for an IB Middle Years Program (IBMYP) certificate. And those who choose to take the IB Diploma Program during the last two years of High School graduate with two diplomas.

In terms of university education, our graduates have a cumulative placement rate of 98% in Turkey and those who prefer to continue their education abroad receive acceptance and scholarships from the most renowned universities. Among the students who choose to study in Turkey , the rate of students who score high enough to be placed in their first five (university) choices is 84%. Most of these students are admitted to the most preferred universities in Turkey such as Boğaziçi University , Koç University , Sabancı University , Istanbul Technical University , Yıldız Technical University and Istanbul University .

Our students have won hundreds of awards and prizes especially for the advanced level of work that they conduct in the areas of science and mathematics; and have successfully participated in a variety of activities both in Turkey and abroad in the areas of Social Sciences, Sports, Arts and Technology.

As Eyüboğlu High School offers to its students opportunities for a vast variety of social activities, each student gets the opportunity to participate in at least two different extracurricular activities per year. This enables the students to develop their creativity in arts and sports as well as in academic areas and thus to become outstanding members of their societies.
