Assessment is carried out in accordance with the school assessment policy. Care is taken to align assessment with the aims and objectives of the programme and to the methodological approach that is adopted. A range of formal and informal assessment methods, formative and summative, is used focusing on both process and outcomes and building on previous learning and learner knowledge as well as using various assessment tools and criteria. Assessment is carried out according to predetermined and published criteria. Class time is spent on explaining and discussing criteria with the students and students are required to keep and refer to the criteria. The following methods of assessment are used each semester:
